With the latest release of Opera (with no ads) and all the current security announcements about Firefox, which Browsers do you use the most and why?

I myself have always been a loyal user of Internet Explorer~ i wouldn't touch Firefox with a beanpole. Though as loyal as I am, I have tried out the latest Opera. And I'm impressed but I'd never totally change from IE

In my professional opinion, Firefox is a timebomb.  The authors had all the right motives, but they are now finding that it wasn't really incompetence that made all the IE vulnerabilities (well, maybe some :) ), but rather the complexity of really large projects.

FF grew too fast to ferret out the bugs in an orderly manner.  I expect that we'll see a lot more FF bugs over the next year or two.

I've never tried opera, but now that it's free, I think I will.

Also, coming from a business environment, IE is THE standard web browser that almost all software is developed for.

IE7 looks like it is going to close the gap with FF on things like tabbed browsing, etc.

I know I need to get over it, but I still equate toolbars with spyware and viruses.

I installed FF to get the new uber cool tabbed browsing.  I used it once and I don't think I've used it since.  Maybe I'm not attention deficit enough to fully use it, though.

I use Firefox.  I don't like Explorer at all (and two of my systems don't even run Windows so it would not be an option).

I like firefox too.  I think it's just being different that I like, though.

I've used Firefox, but I couldn't see what all the hype was about. It seemed to crash a hell of a lot more often and the features I never used. With IE, you'll know webpages will come up like they were designed to as well

IE seems noticably slower to me.  Firefox, however, has one very annoying characteristic when run on Windows... it does not always completly shut down, so when you restart it you loose your toolbar!  It took me a long time to figure out where my tool bar was going and how to get it back.  :D

Which toolbar?  I've never experienced that.  Also, I find your comments on the speed interesting - I find exactly the opposite to be true, especially on start up.  Now, there are a few squirrely things that IE will do where it goes into never-never land for an unexplained reason (repeatably) while FF does not have that problem.

My main concern with FF is that there will be a good number of serious vulnerabilities over the next few years found with it, and despite how fast they get fixed, the exploiters are increasingly financially motivated to exploit the holes as soon as possible.

I'm going to side with Leritzi on the Opera note.  It's pretty nice and even better now that it's free!
