I dont like this bs about next gen dvds. Ive spent so much money on my dvd collection, i dont want it going dead already. and blu ray...why? hd dvd is just as good.

it has much more to do with marketing might than with technology.  It is starting to look like there will be a lot of dual format players - blu ray and hd dvd, so it may not end up mattering much to consumers.
