Mine
« on: August 18, 2005, 08:23:58 am »
For once in my life, I can't complain about how much money I make.  I mean, it's always good to make more, but I'm doing pretty well in that area.  BUT, I will tell you, my company gets every bit of their money's worth in stress that I'm under for the job.

Oppression and exploitation of work force doesn't sound so bad, does it, if you're making so much money :) ?

I always told myself I wouldn't complain about my job if I made enough money.  I guess I should shut up :)

Money certainly doesn't buy you happiness, but (financial) accountability is essential and it's always nice to make money that enables you to live comfortably.

That is true, but I can tell you, however much you make, it's never enough!

For every dime you get paid, you're making them 10! Well, that's how the saying goes anyway.
A lot more secure than being self-employed though, and probably less stress too.

Probably true.  I know the ratio for my company, and it's about 3x for me, which is more a reflection on the revenue per employee than my salary :)

That ratio sounds a bit low? How do they cover all their overheads?

It does pretty well.  It's a public company that has about a 17% operating margin, so it's not doing too bad.
